ABOUT ME

I was born 31 years ago in Prague (as an Aquarius/Pig). I graduated from the Department of sociology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague and I am studying for my Ph.D there. I am conducting a research project called "Discourse Analysis of Animal Objectification in Czech Republic" which is dedicated to laboratory animals. I would like to encourage the development of interdisciplinary field of Animal Studies in the Czech Republic. I teach this subject at Charles University, Masaryk University and UNYP, where I also teach Social Psychology. Besides studying and teaching, I do cognitive-behavioral seminars for people addicted to nicotine (as an ex-smoker). I am an author of online vegan-guide called Soucitne.cz, co-founder of Czech Vegan Society and EACAS.eu. My hobbies are Animal Rights activism (Veggie Parade/Otevři oči), riding a bike, traveling, taking care of my dog and cat (both adopted), vegan cooking, Tchai-chi, playing the piano and bass, painting and lay webdesign.
